This image was created by compositing two of my freehand digital paintings—a pear and an abstract with orange and gold forms.
I did not use any photography to create this image.

The paintings were rendered using Corel Painter and my digital graphic tablet.

These two images were then opened in Photoshop, where I combined them, segmented and rearranged them,
and added other elements painted with Photoshop brushes.

The final image contained about 20 layers and took me about 20 hours to "construct."

It was a really fun recognition of the art form to have it win over all the watercolors and oil paintings at the fair in Monterey.
